Raymond Flower was educated at Oundle, Magdalen College,
Oxford,and the University of Zurich. After war service with
the Royal Hampshires,he ran his family's business activities in Egypt,
played international tennis,and was elected a member of the British Racing Drivers' Club.
A Name at Lloyd's since 1953, Raymond lived in the heart of Chianti Classico for 35 years, making his own wine. From his estate in the Marche, he commutes regularly to Egypt, Asia and Australia.

Raymond Flower, author and historian, is the brother of Neville Flower, noted Egyptologist, and
the novelist, Derek Adie Flower.
